Pre-Orientation Service Trips

anyone planning on doing this?

yep, I am! I'm excited about it because I'm in Cornell Tradition too.

great! what undergrad college are you in?

How do you find out about these trips? I don't remember getting any information on it.

in the Cornell Bound packet

did you receive the packet after you submitted your commitment card? i'm a tradition fellow, too (if i commit to cornell)

yeah, it came about a week or two later

I'm in ILR. I haven't received the Cornell Bound packet yet because I just mailed the deposit about a week ago, and I live pretty far away. POST seems like a really great chance to meet people before orientation starts. Plus, if you're a Cornell Tradition Fellow, POST counts for about 25 hours of your required 75 hours of community service.

wow, that's really awesome. what do students do at POST?

visit this

and this

anyone else?

i still ahvent gotten the preorientation packet yet.
how do we sign up?

there's a removable postcard in the back of the cornell bound booklet that you send in. you might also be able to sign up through the websites above.

do alot of people go to these pre orientation trips?

i guess not, but ive heard the ones who do really like it.

POSTers!!!!!!! I HEART YOU SO MUCH! As a POSTer, and a POST leader last year (I'd do it again this year, but unfortunately I'm interning off campus!), POST is the most amazing thing in the entire world. I cannot tell you, I could go on about it for about four days straight. If you do POST, you will have one of the most amazing experiences in your 4 years at Cornell.
PLEASE post any questions you may have - I'm SO EXCITED that there's a forum for this, and I'd love to answer any/all of your questions! I can tell you about activities, the leaders (great people!!), expectations, living conditions.... anything, since I experienced it twice. You can also private message me, or I can send you my email for specific questions.
As you'll find out if you do POST.... you get really excited whenever you hear about it!!! :)
-- PS. I'm not insane. POST really is the best thing in the entire world.
