I believe that is Massachusetts College of Pharmacy MCPHS, not UMass-Boston.
My parents are pushing me towards uop because I get out faster and I don’t have to take the PCAT. I’m feeling very apprehensive about pharmacy in general after reading about the job outlook…so I’ve been stuck between uci or uop (maybe dental program?).
come to the midwest! St Louis College of Pharmacy is so much more afforadable and gives a lot of scholarships and is ranked way higher than UOP. That is if youre still only a junior… I think it’s too late if you’re a senior.
What makes you think UOP has a mediocre program? It’s the second to third best pharmacy school in California. And honestly, you need to be willing to work hard to meet those GPA requirements if you wish to advance into their pharmacy school. It’s not as “guaranteed” as you think it is. Many people in the programs even end up extending due to the amount of workload that they face.
It’s also a matter of which type of pharmacy you’re interested in. If you want to enter community/retail pharmacy, there’s probably no better option than UOP. On the other hand, schools like UCSF and USC are better for research…
heard you pretty much get into pharmacy school if you don’t completely fuck up the interview idk. I went to visit uop and the lady from the pharmacy department told that if you came in with a 4.0 gpa from high school expect to have a 3.0 gpa when you come to uop …
