Pre-req course in summer?

I know most UCs require IGETC to be complete by spring, some by fall, prior to transfer. However, do any of the UCs allow pre-req courses to be complete by summer prior to transfer?

Most of them no longer do I believe–other than the possibility of Merced and Riverside.

Hmm okay, thanks for the reply. If anyone else has any info on this, please let me know. I’d aprreciate it.

It varies by major and campus. You should go to each schools website and check the requirement for your major.

It depends. For my major (psychology), when I talked to UCSC and UCSB, they didn’t seem bothered by the fact that I wasn’t even going to finish all my prereqs by spring or summer. That said, I have seen people rejected from UCSB with very high GPAs and missing prereqs in other majors. You have to ask the department. UCLA and Berkeley it’s basically always required to finish them, though.

^^With the posters above, I would highly recommend contacting your UC-preferable counselor and ask them!

See pages 3-4. Note: This was last updated Spring 2010 so you should also double check with your campuses of interest.
