Im looking to transfer to Haas.

you can’t unless you got a D or F in the class

Drop your grade to a “d” in the course and retake it!

How does that help? Does it erase the grade from your transcript

no it does not remove the grade from your transcript although the higher grade will be used in the GPA.

Would it really be worth it though? Since now we need to take calc 2. If I get an A in that do you think they would over look my c in calc 1?

Don’t get a D on purpose, that’s insane. Take Calculus I at a different school and get an A.

^ he shouldn’t do that. Since social security numbers used to register students, the C will probably been seen regardless of switching schools. If he were to report the A from another school to the UC’s and they find out he got a C earlier they’re going to use that C and that’s a semester wasted.

@ Thousands- I don’t know what else to tell you except do better in Calc 2 and other classes to raise your GPA. You’re pretty much stuck with that C.

Bummer, guess it’s going to come down to the essays and ec’s.

C = auto rejection to haas, especially for a prereq. :[

^ good thing calc 2 is the prereq now.

A “c” in what should be an easy math course will surely take you out of the running for Haas. If I was gunning for Haas, I’d drop the course with a W and retake it.

Ya the problem is that the class is already over so I don’t believe I can drop it anymore :(

calc 2 is a prereq for hass now??

Auto Reject regardless. Sorry, but Haas is just too competitive to be applying with C’s in mandatory classes.
