Pre-reqs done in spring

I'm applying as a philosophy major and I have done none of the pre-reqs for ucla because I couldn't get the classes I needed as a freshman. How much will I be knocked if i take all of the pre-reqs in the spring. I'm applying this year btw.

I’d say you’re at a disadvantage compared to applicants who did all their prereqs.

To piggyback off the original question, what about those that are finishing the last requirements durning the fall?

What pre-reqs does your CC-UCLA agreement have on it?

Mine only states the option of taking 1 out of 3 pre-req classes.

If I were ucla, I will be thinking. " whys this person didn’t take any Prereq classes until spring? Umm he or she is not ready? Maybe he or she should stay at ccc 1 more year to prepare."

What choice do you have? Better spring than not being able to finish your pre-reqs at all. Perhaps you should have explained why you couldn’t finish your pre-reqs earlier in the additional comments box. But just go with what you have now.

Don’t worry. Just keep your GPA high. This question was asked at a workshop and they said it doesn’t matter when you take them as long as they are all done by the end of the spring. They said they predict if you will do well in them based off your grade trends. They just want to see a high GPA and that all of your major prep will be 100% completed (for impacted majors) by the end of spring.

I’m a 1 year transfer and I’m trying to double major in Biology and Philosophy. I used this fall semester to knock out many of my biology pre reqs like chem, bio and calc. I’m taking 27 units of dense courses and worse case scenario I’m pulling out with a 3.84 and 1 B. If that doesn’t get me accepted into the least impacted major at ucla then idk what would.

Philosophy isn’t the least impacted, its Native American Studies. 2011, average transfer GPA was 3.28
