Are there certain courses that must be taken during undergraduate in order to "qualify" to apply to law school? Is there something similar to the med school pre-reqs? Or can someone just take the LSAT and apply?

Thanks.

There are no pre-reqs. It’s not like pre-med. It would probably be a good idea to take some courses that involve logical reasoning, reading complex information, and writing, because they will help prepare you for the LSAT and for law school, but there are no requirements.

^stacy, what kind of courses are those that you mentioned? history?

Philosophy courses are probably your best bet, although yours truly has never taken a philosophy course. Reading-heavy history/econ/poli sci courses would probably be good too.

Good to know, thanks.
