In addition to uploading your Artistic Resume, there are two boxes in this section looking for “words” to describe your Instruction/Performance Background and Artistic Resume Information. Does anyone know if this is just the same information on the resume? Seems redundant to me.

We are fine with you just typing “Refer to Resume.” Some students in other departments do not have resumes (i.e. violin). That section is really meant for them.

Thank you VoiceTeacher!

Has anyone heard about prescreen results? I submitted 10/1 and nothing yet.

When is the best time to submit prescreens for ShenCo? I was planning on doing the January audition so would the latest for submitting be the end of November? I assume they aren’t going to be reviewed during the December break.

D submitted her prescreen early October as well. All documentation for application has been received too. I though I read somewhere on the website, that they try to rule on prescreens within one month after receiving all documentation. We were going to give them until later next week and then I will have D phone someone within the conservatory just to check in.

Sent email earlier this week to inquire - still no word. Not terribly worried - think I read about a month for decision as well.

Received email yesterday - passed prescreen!

FutureMillie6 - prescreen submitted October for Feb audition date - we chose to get them all submitted early - all results in except for one (all yes!) - still waiting on Ithaca

My D sent everything in on Oct 29th and we just heard today. Received an email that states she made it past the pre-screen and there was information on how to schedule live audition. You should call them and double check that they received everything. :)

Raam1012, from what has been posted here, Ithaca is only looking at prescreens for those who applied early decision. Apparently, regular decision won’t be reviewed until January.

Yes, Ithaca is the only one we are waiting to hear from - I see from posts here that we probably won’t hear until January - thanks!

Help – are we supposed to submit application to university before we get results from the prescreen?

I am not sure if you need to submit university application first, but I would recommend it. Best to communicate with them direct if you would rather not do app

From the Shenandoah Conservatory Admissions webpage: “Applicants are encouraged to submit application materials and register for the audition/portfolio review concurrently. No audition will be scheduled without submission of the Shenandoah University Application for Admission and the audition will not be confirmed until all application materials have been received.” So they don’t review/give results from the prescreen until your app is complete.
