Out of curiosity, bc I’m a numbers person, how many kids pass umich prescreen? Anyone have a wag…

We just got our last prescreen result from Michigan for my DS! It’s a YES!

We are going to busy this spring and are praying about the school that will accept him and will be best for him. Here we goooooo!!! If anyone is going to be in the same times/dates as us, please pm me if ya want! If you have auditioned for any of these schools prior, any feedback is always welcomed.

Congratulations, Chenggang!

@chenggang Congrats on Belmont! May I ask how you scheduled 2/12 for FSU? I did not see that as a scheduled option. Is it for BM VP or MT (BFA & BM)

Here’s to a heatwave the weeks of NY & Chicago Unifieds!

BOCO in ATL January 5

@24mtjourney my bad… 2/8! At least it was on my calendar correctly…I started freaking out. LOL

Does anyone have the dates for Otterbein on campus callbacks? TIA!

Never mind…I found them!

@WDWMom if you are at Otterbein, my freshman MT DS would probably be happy to answer any questions. We are from FL if your moniker is an indication that you are too ?

Unfortunately, we are NOT from Flordia (I wish)!. I will keep you in mind for questions. Otterbein is definitely a school my D would love to go to. She passed her pre-screen, and we thought we would just take her to Unifieds, (sent that request off), but then she decided she might want to do that one on campus, and I could no longer see the audition dates on acceptd. I did find them online though and she is already booked all the dates of the on campus auditions.

I may private message you some questions in a bit if you don’t mind. I am sure my D has some questions. She has always loved the idea of Otterbein, but didn’t look at it too seriously before she passed her pre-screen. She didn’t want to get her hopes up.

So I hate to keep saying this but I submitted to CCM in August - I have all the forms done, all the fees paid etc. I have emailed them several times and they continue to say they have everything etc that they need. But it seems ridiculous to have this much time pass ? Should I just count that as a NO on the prescreen pass and move on? LOL

Speaking of CCM, does anyone remember how quickly after submitting the common app portion the email came with the applicant ID and portal link? My D is a Tech applicant, and she fears she submitted everything too late to be considered (even though today is the deadline) since she hasn’t received it yet. The rest seem to take just 24 hours or so, but not CCM.

We submitted on Aug 9, and received a link to a portal on Aug 21.

IDK…I think if it was a no they would tell you. I wouldn’t give up yet.

@DramaLove2020 i would say no news is good news. We submitted in Sept, received the confirmation email of the audition date request and all forms submitted on Oct 1. Then finally this past Monday we received an email from the university of Cincinnati itself saying there was an update in the admissions portal. It was a regret to inform u letter from CCM. Oh well. Then the next day got an email from CCM asking to apply to the acting program. Hope that helps.

@HAHCx4, same thing on this end. Do you think the suggestion to apply to acting means that portion of the prescreen was a pass?

@Runmama If I had to guess I would think so. I am not sure though. The letter did not mention an additional prescreen, only paying the audition fee for the acting audition.

@HAHCx4 @Runmama same exact scenario on CCM here

My D got a yes from Pace, no from Point Park, and was redirected to Acting with Emerson and Illinois Wesleyan. Still waiting on Boston Conservatory, Rider, Penn State, and Ithaca. Live auditions are scheduled with the University of Arizona, Baldwin Wallace, Hartt, and University of the Arts. She is also hoping to do some walk-ins at Unifieds in LA. She’s already been accepted with a nice scholarship to a really small program in Illinois as a result of her Nationals audition, but she’s really hoping for one of these bigger programs.

Question about being redirected to Acting: do many people choose this option? Is it possible to audition for the MT program again for your sophomore year? Thanks!
