Hi. I am an international student and I am doing a pre-screening tape for UCLA. I am just not really sure how the pre-screening tape works. So do I just perform any piece for the pre-screening? I mean not just for UCLA but in general? Thanks

Go to each school’s website. Look under audition information.

It doesn’t really say. I tried to call the school but they are on break right now (I forgot…should’ve called earlier). So yeah. So how did you guys do it? Like UCLA only says about their audition requirements, as for their pre-screening requirement, it only says the limit is 12 minutes long. Last time I called I got the answer that I can cut out the 2nd and 3rd movement from the sonata because it will definitely not fit the time limit, but that was it. Only today I realize I can only fit two of my pieces into the 12 minute limit. So I am just wondering…
