Precalculus? Would AP Calc credit substitute?

Hello. I posted this in the Purdue forum, but nobody seems to be responding. So for the Aviation Management major at Purdue, it says that Precalculus is a required class (for a core curriculum requirement), but would AP Calculus credit suffice for the course (like the credit being used for the University Core Curriculum credit instead of taking Precalculus). Or would I have to take the Credit By Exam for the course in order to skip it?

Good question to email the head of the program about.

https://tech.purdue.edu/degrees/aviation-management/plan-of-study</a> indicates that there is a “calculus selective” requirement in the major; if your AP calculus score is accepted for that, or if you take a qualifying calculus course or a more advanced calculus course, it seems rather unlikely that they will make you go back and take precalculus. But you can ask the department directly about that, and what qualifies to fulfill the “calculus selective” requirement.

Who would be the program head? Are you guys talking about the Head of the College? Or the Head of the Major? When i looked at the staff directory, the job titles weren’t that clear…

Oh sorry, didn’t catch that! Thanks for the head’s up.
