Next year I am taking honors precalculus, using the textbook Precalculus with limits by larson (the newest edition). I excelled in Advanced Algebra (A overall avg) any tips on surviving and excelling in precalc, also how difficult is it, and is it similar to adv alg?

Precalc will be easy as long as you learn the unit circle and trig relationships. Just pay attention and you'll see that it really isn't so bad at all.

Some chapters are easy and some are hard. However, be prepared to take longer to do your homework that last year because there was one assignment that took me 3-4 hours to do. Most should be around 1-2 though.

h precalc in my school is harder than ap calc ab and bc in my school lol. it depends how your teacher teaches but our class finished ap calc ab and some graph theory by end of the school year. we had like 4 hours of hw everyday. i would have died if we didnt have block schedule. :o

Trig is really easy and simple - until you get to analytic trig, which is a b.it.ch. However, with a good teacher and lots of practice, you'll get through it fine.

Ha. I remember there was one problem that stumped everyone in my class- including our teacher. None of us could figure out how to solve the problem. It was so frustrating... and then my teacher found out that there was a typo on the worksheet =P

LOL, that happened in my class, too. One girl couldn't solve a problem in the book involving veryifying a trig identity and asked the teacher for help. My math teacher went through a ton of steps and probably spent like 20 minutes on it. We all kept trying to get her to quit, but she kept repeating "hold on, I think I got it" (she has like OCD with math).

Then the girl who gave her the problem realized that the problem she gave our teacher had a negative sign instead of a positive, or something like that.

There were also a couple of times when the answers in the back of the book were wrong.
