What do you guys think the curves will be? We haven't taken it yet but based on previous years?

I’m just praying for a good science test!! I would much prefer an easier test with a harsher curve than a hard test (like red book science practice test 5) and a good curve.
What are your thoughts on that?

If you are aiming for perfect score, you may want harder test with generous curve.

i dont know, id want a generous curve but not too hard either lol, that would be ideal but that never happens haha

I’m going for a 29-30
i have, on average, e34, m29, r32, but science is all over the place with a range from 22-31. I’m honestly just going for like a 26-27 in science, so I’m hoping for an easy test for that to happen!

I’m hoping the science has a lot of Physics and Earth Science and no Chemistry, lol! I got a 34 on the practice test that was physics/bio heavy and a 29 on chemistry heavy one. I’m feeling confident on math, English, and the final 3 reading passages (I generally do awful on prose fiction passage - I hope it’s an easy one tomorrow!)

Not me! Hard questions will stress me out, and I’ll end up doing worse just because I’ll be frustrated (and the curve wouldn’t remedy that). However, it’s easy I can get pretty damn close to perfect so a harsh curve isn’t a huge deal. I guess it’s just a matter of preferences… some going for a high score might prefer your way. But it’s definitely not for all of us!

Anyways… real question now… No idea what the curve will be. I find it ridiculous to think this will have an “easy” or “hard” curve just because it’s the Sept test. I’ll be able to gauge it fairly accurately tomorrow I hope!

For science I want a hard test and a generous curve. I’ll mess up on some either way but I’m fast enough to do it after 13 practice tests…gah…that was a lot.

Do you guys think it will have a better curve because of all the new juniors taking it for the first time or harder curve because all of the experienced seniors taking it for college apps???

same question bro^ hopefully some novices show up ;)

haha yeah, but i feel like the experienced seniors will balance out the stupid juniors and it will be regular. But on the bright side, hopefully there are more stupid juniors and the curve is more lenient :)

OR think about it this way…

All the seniors who forgot to take act’s and just realized and are taking it now as this is the first day in the new school year…

The seniors that are just taking it just cause they have to or their parents are forcing them too…

So who knows…

very true, hopefully the curve is lenient then. Anyone know how the curves were in previous septembers?? Im sure the junior/senior thing applied then too

right, there has to be a trend for the past septembers.

Good luck, everyone!

I think there might be more people in September that just try the test for the first time to get a sense of the test (i.e. don’t study) then there are people who do that in June (too many exams and events to bother). So given this, I think the curve in September is always better than in June.
Good luck to all!

I blew my shot already :(

Missed 3 question on English, only gave myself 5 min for prose fiction, guessed 4 on science…

@wilsoncw
how was math? I guessed about 7.
Weird

Science was absolutely INSANE.Expecting a -2 = 36 curve. Reading was easier than normal. English was normal, and math was slightly harder than normal.

What’d you guys think of the writing prompt?

Wait science was really hard? Great, freaking out before I’m even there =\|
