Predict the Curve for March

So what do you guys think is going to be the curve?

I think 3-4 wrong 800 for CR, and I'm hoping 1 wrong still 800 for math because I know I missed one grid in :].

What do you guys predict for the math and critical reading?

3-4 wrong for CR? I highly doubt it. The max. is usually -2 for 800 for CR before it starts plumttetting.

Math is never nice. -1 = -20.

I really hope CR is nice though, even though I dont think it will cause it never has been in my past tests. I got 3 wrong on CR so far based off CC, and prob got 3 more wrong that I dont know about because of being me.

For the critical reading I got atleast 2 wrong that I know of, and the math is just that stupid reckless mistake on the grid in.

Damn, I was hoping for extreme leinancy for the critical reading and a stroke of luck for the math.

Critical Reading just killed me....

I hope math's curve is good, I had to make a guess on it :/

the curve i think will be pretty good. most people that take it in march do well, 1) because the kids take it early and are generally smart 2) the curve is pretty decent...

I think we'll all prob do well

^^^^ It doesn't work like that. If most people who take it in March are the smart kids, which is true because seniors are not taking it anymore, then the curve will be BAD if it is not preset. That's why people think it's a good idea to take the test when most of the other testtakers are NOT smart.. because then the curve should be more lenient.

well the curve is preset

and think about it... if the kids who are smart take it in march and get good scores, wouldn't the curve have to naturally be lenient? Or are the test takers geniuses? I would go with the former rather than the latter

The curve usually is preset and then modified if they see something weird - like if the avg score suddenly plummtted 50 points out of 2400. Then they go and fix it

Well the curve is based on the difficulty of the questions and the results of the testing, so it's really not preset necessarily. I think these CR sections were somewhat harder, so I hope there will be a generous curve on it.

Oh yes. More lenient curve on the CR please!

CR didn't seem that hard, it was math that did it for me, although I had an experimental section so I hope I did badly on it and not the real one

lolcats: Yeah, I agree. The CR wasn't bad at all.. except for the politics passage and one sentence completion... I made a few mistakes on the Math.. grr

lolcats, the experimental math section was the one with the Trapezoid formed from a big Triangle and with the two circles tangent to a line with a square in between the two circles.

I doubt the curve will change in all seriousness, which ****ess me off cause I got -3 on CR so far not including any other dumb mistakes but whatever

I didn't have a math section like you described. I'm certain there were multiple math experimentals.

So far I only have -1 on CR for a SC and -1 an Math for the books question, the answer of which is still in question too lol

If I can nail my essay I think I can get 2350+ (accounting for stupid mistakes)
a perfect score is still within reach, as long as the curve is ok.

Can someone predict what my math score will be? 1 gridin wrong, 2 mult choice wrong

that's probably 740

I still can't believe I midread the last gridin. I could've sworn it asked how many times it would double.. so I put 8.

I nearly put 8 in too. Then I saw I already had two 8s bubbled in, and thought, umm, shouldn't this be a bit harder? So I went for 256

i hope the curves r lenient for everything...

the math was relatively easy but knowing me...i can make a LOT of stupid mistakes sometimes. also, i don't even read the direction plenty of times...that'll cost me a lot of points...but i don't think i did that on the SATs...no one knows! i'll be prayin...
