Post your curve predictions for all the sections. I'll start:

Math (so/so): -2 = 35
Science (hard): -2 = 35
English (easy): -1 = 35
Reading (easy): -1 = 35

I have to agree with your prediction tbh. Although it may be a bit too lenient.

Does anyone have a website with some past curves for the ACT?

Dec 2007’s curve
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/586535-score-curve-approximations.html

So how exactly does this work? Say I got 6 wrong, would that be a 31 then?

I think it’s going to be more like:

Math (harder than it should have been): -2 = 35
Science (easy): -1 = 35
English (easy- but some questions were weird): -1 = 35 or maybe even -2=35
Reading (easy): -1 = 35

I don’t even know. Lol. I know I was mad. This boy finished math in like 40 minutes. We all think he just guessed. There is no way in hell you could finish math in 40 minutes and just sit there for the other 20 and NOT check the work. Anyone agree?

Me! I AGREE

At the same time though, how does it take 40 minutes if your just guessing.

I’m pretty sure that you CAN finish the math in 40 min. I did it today…

I think that the last question on the science portion will make the curve go to -2=35. That question was mostly related to what I’ve learned in IB1 physics, so I bet a bunch of people had a hard time with it, IMO. I guess we’ll see shortly enough.

More predictions!

What was the last question?

I know there was something on attractive forces between clouds of dust that was NOT IN THE PASSAGE… I said gravitational attraction.

wait was gravitational attraction wrong?

Lol no way. Reading always has a really good curve. -1 is usually a 36. Other ones are usually -1 is 35.

Finish Math in 40 min?

My brother from china came here for 1 year, took the dec act. And sat at the table from the 36 min. with work checked. and got 35. Its more than possible.

Ya but this math section was kind of abnormally difficult…id say -2 will definately b a 35 and possibly minus 4 will b a 34. That sounds like a REALLY liberal estimate. However, the math last time was much easier and minus 2 was a 35 then.

what can I expect
-1 English
-3 Math
-2-3 Reading
-5 Science

eng 35
34 math
33-34 reading
but that science is gonna kill ya, id say 31 at the highest more likesly 28-30 though

@AcLuo

Yes i know

Science killed me the last 2 times (26 each) and I got mid to high 30’s for the other sections

science has also been bad for me too low 30s normally, but i felt really calm on this one. the only way to improve in science in my opinion is to do a lot of practice tests timed. thats what helped me at least. now english is going to demolish me this time around
-4 eng
-3 math
-2 reading
-2 science what do you think that will be?
