Shizzle- I’m not sure about that. However, I do think that say you get a 34 on the ACT w/o writing and then you get a 32 on the ACT with a 10 on the writing. The college should basically see you as a person with a 34 with a 10 on essay. At least, thats how Rice said they do it.

THIS TIME’S PREDICTION:
31-33 E
29-31 M
26-28 R
24-26 S

Composite: 29

LAST TIME:
26 E
24 M
22 R
22 S

Composite: 24

From the practice tests I’ve taken, I can consistently get a composite of 28-30, so hopefully I get the 29.

Depends on the curve but…

English 30
Math 34
Reading 30
Science 35
Writing 9

Composite 32

I guarantee the majority of you won’t get the scores you think you will. I will, however, be honest:

English 28
Math 27
Reading 24
Science 23
Writing 8 or 9

Composite = 26

Although studying for the ACT has been practically non-existant for me up until now, any tips/tricks regarding the reading and science sections would be greatly appreciated (don’t reply if you don’t know your ****).

I’m hoping for a 28 in September.

^fresh27
buy barron’s “ACT 36”
the tips in there are phenomenal.

i finished most sections (including science!) with five minutes left to check over answers.

as for me i feel like i’d jinx myself by posting my predicted score…

last time 29 comp…

this time all up in the air.

Best- 31?

Worse- 27…

im hoping for atleast a 30.

I think I did alright as a whole
English - 31
Math - 34
Reading - 29
Science - 29 or 30
Essay - 8 (absolutely one of the worst essays I have ever written, I was not interesting in the subject matter at all “Do you think it’s distracting for students to focus on multiple things while doing homework” or something along those lines. I might and probably will get less than a 8 on the essay, but I am hoping for the best).

If it doesn’t go well, I still have my 2270 on my SAT.

First… My thoughts were that English was harder than usual. Math/Science was around the same compared to previous ACT tests. Then I thought Reading was easier than usual. With that in mind here is what I think I got…

English: 28
Math: 34
Reading: 32
Science: 30
Essay:10

Overall: 31

I have taken the ACT twice before and got 30’s both times.

English: 30+
Math: 34
Reading: 28+
Science: 26+
Writing: 10+

Yeah…I hate science (though I’m good at it in school…the ACTs clearly does not define my ability in the science area…).

I really have no clue… but

English- 29-33
Math- 34
Writing- 33
Science- 35 (This was SO EASY…)
Essay- 8-10

Composite- 32+

Hopefully I made atleast a 30, I am probably too confident though… I probably made like a 25… lol… idk

English- 24-29
Math-24-28
Reading-27
Science-26
Essay- 8-11

Composite-26

There you have it

@MB

how do u think this test compares with the April 2009 test (by section)

I love the math curve, and I am hoping that they will use the same curve on this test. The reading curve, however, is terrible! I imagine that the science curve will be the same for this test, and that english curve is pretty nice. Minus the reading curve I would take it!

@mabs
From what i gather, math has been rumored to be more difficult this time around, which is good thing
Reading, i felt, were easier but i actually prepared this time so im slightly biased…i did well on science last time and id say this time its about the same
English, im not sure on

Are you sure that curve is correct? I missed at least 2 on reading on the April test because both of my subscores were 17, and I got a 34 for reading. . . .

My personal opinion is that the reading was much harder this time. I even studied. Math was extremely harder than all the past practice and real ACT tests I have taken. English and Science were about the same.

@mc
Your subscores do not directly correlate to the number of questions got wrong, thats what i learned from the Real ACT guide…so yes the curve provided is 100% accurate, i got it when i ordered the test booklet for April

Am I the only person here who has no idea what his score will be?
I don’t want to start telling myself i got a high score for fear of a letdown.

Oh well, only 8 days left until the scores come out.

I have no idea what my score will be either.

There are always stupid questions that I miss. Plus, if I think I did decently, I usually did horribly. I’m just trying not to think about it.

I’ve never taken the ACT before so I really don’t know what to expect. If I missed around this many what is an estimate of my score:

English -9
Math -14
Reading -6
Science -4

Thanks.
