Predict your June 2015 SAT II scores?

Most scores will come in 4 days! How do you think you did? Anyone good at predicting curves?

I took Math II and Chemistry.

I took US History and Math I. I’m hoping for a 780 ish on US History, but Math I I have no idea :)).

Math II has a more lenient curve than Math I. I think you can get four or five wrong and still get a 800 on Math II. Chemistry is around the same I think. Not sure about Chem though.

Let’s hope the curve is as good as you say… hahaa

@pnguon

Alright I checked the curve!
For Math II, If you skip six and get the rest correct, you get an 800. If you get five wrong and the rest correct you still have an 800. To get a 700, you either skip fifteen and get the rest correct, or you get twelve wrong and get the rest correct.

For Chemistry, it’s not as nice as MII at first. If you skip four and get the rest correct, you get an 800. If you get three wrong and get the rest correct, you get an 800. To get a 700, you can either skip 24 questions and get the rest correct, or if you get less than 19 wrong and the rest correct you can get a 700.

Being a bit harsh on myself:

World History: 750
Math 2: 700

@Yakisoba That might be the best way to do it XD. If you’re really harsh, then get a score much higher, you’re that much happier. :bz

I’m hoping for an 800 on Math 2. So far, I’ve only got one wrong, and I’d like for it to remains that way.
Chemistry, on the other hand… Frankly, I’ll be happy with just a 760. I don’t even remember what half of test asked for, not to mention what I put down as answers. I even skipped one, too, because in a fit of insanity, I mistook the net score of a skipped question for that of a wrong answer! :((
In short, I’m going back to praying till the 25th even though I’m an atheist.
@dekolo Are you sure about the Chem curve? I distinctly remember the curve of the Blue Book to be much harsher.

I took biology M and literature. This is what I’m expecting:

biology M 770
literature 720

I’ve no idea how many questions I got wrong on each test though. Just a rough feeling about how I did. Yeah, it’s always better to be harsh at oneself first and then receive an out-of-expectation good score. Exactly what I did.

@Synonyms Yes, the blue book Chem curve is very harsh. For an 800, your raw score has to be at least 82 (3 omitted, or 2 wrong and 1 omitted). For a 760, your raw score has to be at least 74 (11 omitted, or 9 wrong). You said you omitted one question, so hopefully you can get only 2 wrong among the rest of the questions----to get an 800… I got 800 myself in January, and good luck to you then!

I am very very worried about the T/F section on Chem II

Math II — 720
Literature — 750

Honestly, I’ve absolutely no clue what to expect. I’m hoping my Math II scores are much higher though, since I’m considering applying to a few top unis. (and my Math grades in school aren’t particularly stellar — I’m working on them, but it’d be nice to show unis I don’t suck entirely!)

Anyone know how much weightage SAT IIs get in the application? I’m certain the SAT Reasoning Test is of a higher weightage.

@pavingparadise Of course the SAT Reasoning Test if of a higher weightage. For many colleges, SAT II scores submission isn’t even a compulsory item.

@Synonyms Yes, to get an 800 the lowest raw score you can have is an 82 (like @AmericanGothic said) and for a 700 the raw score is 61.

@pavingparadise If you’re applying to top colleges (Ivy leagues and the like) it’s best to aim for a 700+ (750+ if you really want to) b/c top colleges require usually two, sometimes three subject tests. But of course, SAT Reasoning is what really matters. Getting an 800 on math there might hold more weight than an 800 in math 2. Not sure though.

I’m probably somewhere around

Math II- 730
Spanish- 780

Very scared for Thursday though. I’m hoping I’m being a little too harsh on myself in the math. Maybe (knock on wood) I’ll get in the high 700s and be satisfied. I’m not trying for a STEM major, so a 750+ would be okay.

Hoping for double 800s (in Physics and Math II). But I’ll be happy with whatever happens, as I’m not retaking either test.

bio m 730
i really, really hope i’m being way too harsh. i’d like to stay in the 750+ range.

My lit expectations keep going down. Before I took the first practice exam, I was like “800 or nothing.”
I saw the released curve and hoped for a 780.
I took the exam and immediately predicted a 760.
Now I’m thinking something like a 740, but I really wish 750+. I’m going to have a nervous breakdown on Thursday.

hoping like everyone else for an 800 on world history and I felt like I did pretty well so hopefully fingers crossed!!! its literally in less than like 48 hours :’(

@ccstudent101 same here… (for Math II and Chem tho)
