predict your Oct. 8 SAT score

i thought this would be a fun thread

Ill start off

800 M, 720 CR, 740 W- 2260

US History 790 or 800

CR: 460 M:Wrote my name on it W: 800

yale ain't gonna like that

Yale...lol are you saying u didnt do ANY of the math?

bump hahaa

what do i get with

Writing- 12 essay, 3-5 wrongs
Math- 6-10 wrongs (2 of them are gridded)
Reading- 15-20 wrongs (im just guessing, but i know i bombed it)

I wouldn't count on that 12 in writing. My best friend took the SATs last spring and she is probably the best writer in my school. She was one of three (including myself) nominated for the NCTE writing competition, and has been consistently lauded for her advanced technique. However she got a 7 overall on her essay. She asked to be sent what she wrote, and had some readers take a look at it, all of whom agreed there was a terrible mistake. She sent it back in for further review, but they said they had too many requests and just oouldn't take her's. On the other hand I know many poor writers who arbitrarily recieved high scores. I for one was sorely disappointed with my 10.

According to March SAT: 770-740 w, 690-650 m, 630-590 cr

If lenient curve, 770-740 w, 710-680 m, 600-650 cr

Ouch. I was hoping to get at least 700 on math and 650 on cr. let's hope for generous curve!

im downgrading my math prediction to 770 due to getting the firetruck question wrong

770?? A 600 is more like it. I missed 4 and got a 700 on math, missed 6 and got a 720 on Verbal and missed 7 (9 essay) and got a 660 on CR. You're being WAYYYY too optimistic

i missed 1 and got 790 math in march

im sure i didnt get any other ones wrong im 99% sure

The SAT was so hard today! It completely murdered me. cr 600-630 math i dont know, probably really really bad...like a 0 if that was even possible writing...the only part i did good in, im hoping for a 700

no i didnt do the math cuzz i got a 780 on the old one and if its combined no use in wasting pencil lead

they see all your SAT scores....so that wasn't to smart.

would they really care if you got a 780 but then focused on another section and then got a 490 in the same section you had previously got the 780 in?

It depends on where you want to go.

If harvard has an applicant with two math scores of 750, it looks a lot better then one score of 500 and one of 750.

Other schools only consider your scores from one sitting.

^^^^^ I didn't word that well so here is an example:
(500, 500, 800)
(500, 800, 500)
They would see your total as 1800 both times, instead of 2100.

lol wow myopia, its not like you can submit all your sections yourself, they see all your tests and are nice to use the best sections, but remember, they're people and still see that 200 or w/e you got on math
