Predict Your Results!

Wow, all this pessimistic thinking is sending out some bad vibes, man! I mean, it’s good to be realistic but damn, don’t go into the game already thinking you’re gonna lose. I know I’m probably going to get rejected from my dream school (Yale), but I make sure to remind myself acceptance is possible. Just do what you do, and what is meant to be shall be. And try to stay off this website as much as possible; granted, it can help in some aspects of college preparation, but it does nothing for your self-esteem.

These are the only ones I know I’ll definitely apply to. There are others I’m interested in but they’re pretty much all reaches.

Stanford- Rejected

UCSD - Accepted
Cal Poly SLO - accepted
Tufts and USC are tossups - I’ll say 1 of the 2

Can we bring this back? For the class of 2014?

Mount Holyoke- Rejected
St Olaf- Waitlisted; Rejected
Wooster- Accepted
Monmouth College- Accepted
Champlain- Accepted

^ Why would we bring this back for the Class of 2014 when we '14ers haven’t even applied yet?

Why does it matter if we applied or not? Do our chances change after we write our stats down on Common App?

Firstly, many of us haven’t even finalized our college lists, so predictions at this point would be mostly meaningless. Secondly, because we won’t get (most of) our results until late March/early April 2014, posting predictions now would not be timely. Come back a few months before results are out.

Georgetown - I got in.
UChicago - reject? This one is iffy, though more reject than accept.
Harvard - LOL. No.

Right about that one
I was right that it was iffy, waitlisted.
LOL. No.

So 3/3!

Truth. My list probably won’t be finalized until August.

Don’t be so sure. My list wasn’t finalized until the day I submitted my applications on January 1. I knocked off five schools in the two weeks leading up to RD deadline.

Stanford- Rejected - Correct
UCB - Rejected - Correct
UCD - Accepted - Correct
UCSD - Accepted Correct
Cal Poly SLO - accepted - Wrong, I was rejected. This was a surprise. At first.
Tufts and USC are tossups - I’ll say 1 of the 2 - Correct. I was accepted by USC and Wait Listed at Tufts.

so, my actual results are…

NYU- waitlisted (don’t even know why I bothered applying here now… we can’t afford it anyways. I guess it helped prevent paranoia about not applying to enough places)
Barnard- rejected
Fordham- accepted
Stevens’- accepted

with some scholarship money here and there :)

Ironically i got 8/18 guesses right haha.
