I got a 2140 the first time around and getting my reading to a 700 and holding math and writing to a low 700 (at least) would put me at a 1470/1600 which would mean I’d be done (fingers crossed).

General question though… how do you guys think the reading curve for the March SAT will be? From what I understand, a lot of people (myself included) had a lot of trouble on the classical music section on the reading

The curve would probably be similar to that of some of the medium tests. I doubt that it will be too harsh or too lenient, as most of the passages were easy besides the happiness and classical music passages.

Optimistic - 2020
Pessimistic - 1850

First time taking it, wish I had done better in math. (5+ wrong…) Writing was alright, probably got an 8 essay since thats what I usually get. CR was probably around a 540, since thats what I usually get…

Optimistic: 2280
M: 800
W: 780 w/ a 10 essay
CR: 700

Pessimistic: 2100
M: 780
W: 710 w/ an 8 essay
CR: 610

M: I honestly think I got every single one right. There wasn’t one that I went back over and thought, “Hmm, I don’t know…” I feel really optimistic. But no matter how confident I feel, there’s always that nagging feeling that I missed an easy one.

W: I feel good about this one, too. There were about 4 I put down for “No Error”, which I couldn’t shake the feeling I missed one or two tiny mistakes. My essay was good, I think, except for one example I’m not too confident in, but I made it work. I guess we’ll see.

CR: I’m worried about this one. I felt myself losing focus toward the end, with the last three sections going CR, W, CR. The vocab wasn’t too tricky, but I omitted maybe 2 and I guessed on a few of the passages. It was that classical music one that got me. Maybe the one about Surinam, too. I hope the curve’s generous.

Anyway, it seems to shaping up to be a nice score for me. Not too shabby for my first time.
