Also, will I get into the Honors Colleges for any of the state schools?
Thank you!

Why were you deferred from Tulane with that SAT score? that is sort of like a red-flag that something is wrong in your app. A 2310 is good for ivies lol

If you go to the Tulane thread, you will see that Tulane is somewhat suspicious of that score and that they will defer as a means of evaluating interest. They have a problem with being a safety school.

oh I see. So, definitely write a letter of continued interest, just so that they accept you. I don’t know much about any of your colleges, so I will chance you for the ones I do know. Penn: reach(wharton is insane), Vanderbilt: high match. With that SAT score, you should have applied to more ivies imo, as well as other top privates. Btw, I think you misspelled your GPA, since you put 4.46 for your UW and 3.52 for W (probably the other way round). How come you didnt apply to more well-renowned privates? just curious.

Vanderbilt- Rejected
Penn (Wharton)- Rejected
Tulane- Accepted
Oklahoma- Accepted
Drexel- Accepted
Bucknell- Accepted
Miami- Rejected
South Carolina- Rejected (The if space available thing)
Rhodes- Accepted
Baylor- Accepted
Kentucky- Accepted

I’m not sure if the fact that others from your school have been accepted ED will hurt you, but I know that Penn puts a very strong emphasis on GPA as the most important part of the application. You have a 3.5 UW and are applying to Wharton (which I believe is the most selective undergrad) so normally it would be a reach, but you have taken the most challenging courses, have great scores, and have a high weighted GPA, so it could be a low reach and possibly a high match (assuming essays an EC’s are great as well). As for the other schools you listed, I don’t know much about them, but I’m sure none of them are as selective as to reject someone with a 2310. I also know people with WAY lower stats who were accepted to Drexel. Soooo…best of luck. Thanks for chancing me by the way :)

And by the way, I agree with Classof2018app. Being deferred by Tulane with those stats means you should definitely look at your application to make sure nothing is wrong. Especially if it was EA. :-/

I know this may have not helped much, and I’m sorry for that, but anything I put as “not sure,” I haven’t looked too much into those colleges, so I’m not so familiar with them to fully put down an opinion. I’m confident on the ones that I put down “Accepted,” I have friends that have gotten into URichmond and such. You have great stats though, but I’m a little unsure on the UW GPA… But that’s just one factor into the admissions process, so I believe that you have great chances at most of these schools. Vanderbilt though was my only iffy one… I only put rejected, because I know how competitive it is, but I think it’s kind of 50/50 for you.

Washington State - Accepted (Actual)
University of South Carolina - Accepted (Actual)
University of NC @ Chapel Hill - rejected
Davidson - rejection expected (due to UNC)
