Prediction of Grades in Courses

Seems like this is a braging thread, but I don't mind. Here is my prediction.

Calculus II A
introduction to computer science A (No final)
English 1101 A
Chemistry A
Lab A

Yes, Chancellor's list. Here I come.

is the Chancellor's list the same as the Dean's List???

History: A
Newswriting: A
Photography: A
English: more than likely an A, but could be a B...

I'll at least make Deans List (3.5+), but really want to stay on Presidents List (4.0)!

god. this is embarrassing.

Spanish: B+ / A-
2D design: B+
art history: B-
English: C
human event (history/philosophy): A

any other colleges on the plus/minus grading system? (where a B- is a 2.7 and a B+ is a 3.3, etc)
cause it's going to screw me over.

UW-Madison
Advanced Gen. Chem - AB
Calc I - B
Modern European Hist. - B
Intro To Engineering - A or AB

(The grading system here is wierd, we get AB and BC as intermediate grades. It makes calulating GPA super easy though, AB=3.5, BC=2.5)

Panglossian, I am so glad to see that my S is not alone. He is at UF and is making a C in his calc class. The thing that really sucks is that he had placed out of calc with AP credit, BUT he wanted to go premed and has to have college calc (told they wouldn't accept AP credit), now that he is getting a C he thinks he wants to major in English. I wish he had dropped that stupid calculus class!! His grades are similar to yours at this point. Chem B, Chem lab A, human sexuality A, an Honors English class A or B. Good luck on your finals.

UW-Madison
Communications course- A or AB
History- A
Lit course- A
Biology- A

C'mon 4.0

Duke

Lit A-
Sociology A+/A
Writing A
Organic Chem C+/B-/B (in this range, on a normal distribution)
Phys Ed Pass
FOCUS discussion Pass

I'll wait and see until I actually get my grades. My first year my grades were pretty good but this year I struggled quite a bit and everything is still up in the air!

Physics 3-C
Dynamics-B or C
Differential Eqs-A
Intro Aviation Safety-A
Human Factors in Aviation Safety-A

I definately slacked this semester, I'll take a guess (there is no + or -)

English (writing comp.)- B
Freshman Intro- A
American History- B (possibly A)
Business Computer Systems- B
Business in a Global Economy- B (possibly A)

And, I go to NMSU.

I'm really not sure, but it's looking like I shouldn't have anything below a B in any of my classes, unless I really blow the final papers and my one and only final (I got a 98 on the midterm for that class though, so I should at least pass the final)
I'm at the University of NH, and taking honors freshman English, Intro to Sociology, Ecology and Values, and Intro to American Studies

slightly less competitive undergrad + great gpa ---> better grad school? maybe? or am I just crazy?

"any other colleges on the plus/minus grading system? (where a B- is a 2.7 and a B+ is a 3.3, etc)
cause it's going to screw me over."

It's screwing me over too.

dang, it's been too long since I've posted on cc that I forgot how to do the quote boxes.:(

My favorite part of college is how more than half of my GPA is decided in the next week. That scares me. Other than that my grades should look like this

Acc Orgo Chem - A/A-. Should be a solid A, I'm 100 pts above the average.

Calc 3 - Ehh I don't think there's going to be much of a curve and I didn't do that well on the 2nd test. B+/A-

Physics E&M - Didn't think I could salvage it (B) but got a grade that I would have to get for an B+/A- type grade on my last test, so if I just rock the final . . . B+/B is my prediction though.

ChemE Mass Balances - I have absolutely no clue, 1st test one half standard dev below, 2nd one above, third got the average exactly. So I have no idea. My hw grades have been all over the place. I'm guessing B-/B/B+ which is a damn big range b/c he's given us no clues on how to calculate it.

Orgo Chem Lab - no idea. got an A on the last test but just passed the average in labs. Absolutely no clue. I'm hoping for a C+ but if I get a B- that would be amazing. First time no C's.

Freshman Comp-A (I was shocked!)

Anatomy and Physiology-A

Chemistry-B+

General Psychology-A

Nursing Seminar-A

Update: I got my actual grades, and unfortunately I have to switch major, thanks to a damned D+ in calc. Stupid douche of a teacher won't curve a damned thing. Bah.

NYU:

World Cultures: Russia: A-/A

Natural Science 2: Genetics: B+/A-

La Belle Epoque: A

Socialist Theory: A-/A

BYU:
Social Statistics: A
Modern Social Problems: B+
World Religions: A-
Principles of Physics: B+
Psychology: A

Ok I was off...

Univ of S Florida

College Algebra: A-
English Composition 1: B+
Intro to Anthro: B (yeah I know...it's a drastic fall...but I'm grateful)
Public Speaking: B+

So this is about a 3.39...no dean's list this semester but that's my goal next semester and the following semesters. Good luck to the rest of you all!

Oh yeah! It pays tremendously to sacrifice a weekend for studying! Take my word for it.
