yea same here

I got 217 in Florida.

Last year's cutoff was 212, has always been around 215 before that.

It can't change much since they didn't make a major change in the curve--but I could be wrong.

I think I'm fine since I am in 99th percentile

Nope, it was 215 for the class of 2008 and 219 for the class of 2007 and 216 for the class of 2006. I do hope it stays close to 215, though.

would anyone happen to know the cutoff for california last year? and i'm slightly confused about the semi-finalists/finalists business... are the cutoffs the qualifications to be a semifinalist? if so, then what are the average scores for the finalists?

-edit- nevermind, i found the answer to my question here:

www dot aut o admit. com/thread.php?threadid=93710&mc=10&forumid=1

The cutoff for CA last year for NM SF was 218.
There is no further cutoff for finalist status. The finalist are choosen on the basis of your actual SAT and your school recomendation.

There is some dispute about the cutoff for CA last year. The consensus from posters here is that it was 217, not 218.

Someone who scored 217 in CA reported receiving NMSF and someone who scored 216 in CA reported not receiving NMSF. As simple as that.

I think the students at my school who got 217 were not NM SF.

Someone from another thread actually called NMS and they told her it is 217.

It was 217 for California last year.

Past few years in PA:

214 213 215 215 215

This year's was a 214. I scored a 216. Whaddya think?

If I had to guess, I'd say 215 is the conservative guess for PA. Seems like scores are always teetering just below that number.

I got 219 so I'm fine either way, just as long as it doesnt go up by 6....

Arkansas's cutoff this year was 202. I've seen lists here that list it as 201, but 202 is what I've been hearing around school and what was in the school newspaper.

So if it went down four (5?) points this year does that mean it will be around 204 or so for 2009? I'm fine with a 229, but I'm worried for other people I know.

I think it is reasonable to say that the cutoff will increase by 1 or 2 points.

yeah it will probably go up a few points since last year's was drastically low. as long as it doesnt go up 4 and more points...

Any predictions for VT?

212 213 213 213 218 . ?

There's no 2008 score yet, but my 216 (for class of '09) isn't looking so good. =/

wow 5 point jump? ...

I live in NY, got a 215. Did I just miss it? What was the cutoff this year

if u live in NY you prob missed it ...

How so? It dropped last year becasue of new test. There is no change in the test this year so it's only logical to think that the cutoff will stay the same.
