Anyone have any thoughts/ideas/guesses on when RD decision notification?

Last year it was posted on 03/22, Friday, so my guess for this year is 03/21, Friday.

@txhandan - thanks! That’s what I am hoping for!

@hoggirl – did our kids apply to the same schools?

comments deleted

How will they notify us? Email or letter in the mail?

So we are thinking Friday via email?

@FerrisBueIler2 - Last year, they posted decisions to their portal in the afternoon of Friday, 3/22.

Your portal should be updated on Friday at around 5pm PST (assuming they are released this Friday).

Thank you! Good luck everyone. Hoping for this friday

It is official - Friday at 5:00 pm.

From their email:
Thank you for applying to Claremont McKenna College! Admission decisions will be released online this Friday, March 21, 2014, shortly after 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Did all applicants recieve this email? I am not sure if S received any notifications… Good luck to all

less than three hours to go! see you guys on the flip side crosses fingers

Wow, just 45 minutes or so to knowing if D is admitted to her dream school. Good luck to all the applicants. Have visited the campus a few times and can say that the students there are some of the nicest and happiest students I have ever seen!

Waitlisted oh well - perhaps Pomona then

@neontissues

You got into Chicago and Georgetown, right?

Waitlist. Looked up stats from Common Data Set. Last year, CMC offered waitlist to 685 applicants. 365 accepted spot on waitlist. Zero were admitted from waitlist. And same result goes back to at least 2008. So there should be no expectation of moving off the waitlist.

Son accepted with McKenna Achievement Award!

Anyone know what is going on with Pomona? Their forum is dead; no news if they mailed the decisions yet?

Go2girl accepted with McKenna. She received a call from her admissions rep. She said Seaver recipients have not been decided yet.

@cookie16, your numbers are correct for last year, but the 12-13 data set shows that 238 accepted a spot and 54 were eventually admitted (http://www.cmc.edu/ir/CDS_2012-2013_Annotated.pdf). Looks like the numbers are quite variable…
