3) serious commitment to clubs 10 years of violin, pres of debate, pres of chem club/team</p>

2) from jersey
3) i'm a guy applying to engineering
4) gpa was weak sauce
5) rank was unreleased, so all they see is gpa
6) did i mention i'm asian
7) i'm not good at writing (670 sat I)</p>

2) Excellent EC's including many leadership positions--> and i added all that to create a really good essay.

<p>cujoe169: I barely am in the second decile at my school in terms of GPA, fortunately my school doesn't rank. However, in the sheet they send to schools instead of the secondary school report, they do say that 15 / 75 kids have GPAs between 3.76-4.0, and as my GPA is a 3.78, they can probably estimate my rank :( Slightly worried about that, hope the school's rep will counterbalance that..</p>
