Predictions

oo that is a little iffy, especially if youre applying to SEAS haha.. eek, all you can do is hope for the best

haha...yeah... i had a friend who's got 790, 790, 770 and kept saying how gd my scores were... jus because i got 10 marks more than him for each subj.. pls.. get alive.. i'd be jus as happy with 790,790, 770

am hoping for the best!! retook the math ii in dec but too late. i know i can do way better than a 700! i'm just hoping my grades in maths will cover the measly score.

What is this, a competition for who can put the most ridiculous low percentage?

For example, clearly joyx905 cannot have a 10% chance of getting into Wharton when the overall percentage is closer to 20%--and she has a 1600 SAT I CR/Math, 2350 SAT II, hard courseload, 3.95 UW GPA and a TON of awards.. you know, you would think that kind of thing would make a student above average in the ED pool, even at Wharton ;)

and 800, 800, 780? tht's way more impressive.. seriously.

780 vs 790.. not much diff.. but 800 vs 790.. there's some diff imo!

lol I disagree, the difference between an 800 and 790 is one question and the difference between 790 and 780 is... one question! By the way, a 700 SAT II Math IIC is not a "break" kind of thing, even at SEAS

5 accepted 45 deferred 50 rejected

accepted:
1) top 10% of class of 729 (alot alot of pple..) and sch is ranked 3rd nationwide
2) great SAT2
3) recs... i top my tutorial class of 25 and pretty diligent in my work..personally talk to the teachers alot too
4) not tt many ED applicants locally, cos the deadline clashes with our finals
5) ECs considered gd compared to fellow peers (though inferior internationally) (always taking part in international exchanges)
6) some sort of leadership... (2 pretty gd ones.. and 1 lowly one)

deffer/rejected:
1) does not stick out in any way
2) not that fantastic SAT1 scores
3) im asian/intel (singaporean..)
4) inferior job experience
5) no interview
6) plain essay
7) no really outstanding awards.. (most outstanding was team national 2nd for tennis.. wch is really not much, considering the amt of competition there is)

yea.. i dun see that much a diff btn 790 and 800.
i got 800 for math and my percentile is only 88% WHY?! tt looks really lousy. same goes for chinese.. 800-66% WHY??
and my friend told me, the percentile is by the score, and not by the no. of qns u get wrong.

lol w.tf? i thought i was the only conservative republican asian (constitutionalist actually) from the NE (boston.. actually when the DNC was in town.. i drove down to visit the RNC in NYC.. heh)

ok, NE excluding certain pockets, have to understand that the boston area is overwhelmingly democratic... they are the home of the redsox after all lol

Well, the diversity part was "from Alabama", although I only meet 3 other Republicans at the Pre-College program.

2. not great ECs
3. not even in top 10% of class (didnt do so good freshman year, got lots of Bs)
