Predictions!

List all of the colleges that you are applying to and what you predict will be your result for each. I know that we're all hoping for acceptances across the board, but what do you think will happen, considering the supplemental essays, scores, etc for each?

Mine:

Penn - accepted
Cornell - rejected
Harvard - rejected
Carnegie Mellon - waitlist
Hopkins - waitlist
Tufts - rejected
Swarthmore - accepted

It'll be interesting to come back in the spring and see how on or off we were. : )

Pomona-Rejected
Claremont McKenna-Accepted
Georgetown-Rejected
George Washington-Accepted

I hope I'm not being too optimistic. I think I'll get into at least 2/4 of the schools though (unless my application sucked, and I'm just deluding myself).

fluxxi: In to Penn but rejected at Tufts? Why? Just curious....

Notre Dame - accepted (not really a prediction, at this point)
Northwestern - accepted
Johns Hopkins - rejected or waitlisted
Ohio State - accepted (again, not a prediction, now)

Yale - Reject

i'm numbers-wise and ec-wise qualified for most of my schools marked reject, but i've got a lot of factors working against me, so i was tough on myself, because hey, i'd rather be pleasantly surprised, anyway.

Yale-accepted
Columbia-accepted
Princeton-accepted

Colgate – accepted
Columbia – rejected
Brown – waitlisted
University of Chicago (deferred EA) – waitlisted
Swarthmore – waitlisted
Dartmouth – waitlisted
Oberlin – accepted
Kenyon – accepted
Reed – accepted (in contention with Swat and UChicago for favorite)
Wesleyan – waitlisted
University of Maryland – accepted to honors (instate)

I feel weird writing this, though. I know I'd be surprised if I didn't get into at least one of the schools I marked "waitlist," but writing this out makes me say to myself, of COURSE that could easily happen, and why should I be surprised if it does?

One thing that's removing a lot of stress is that my current favorite, Reed, is considerably less selective than most of the other schools I'm applying to. So... yeah. I guess I just have to wait and see now.
