Do they care about the stats to get into this? I heard that if you get accepted, then your stats are already good enough. I am applying to the Business Preferred admit. Does anyone know anything about this?

bump .

No...I think it's quite prestigious...and only the top students whom applied to each school will get accepted...TOP. Isn't it has tough as the honors college, persay?

mm yeah they do look at stats but they put alot of emphasis on your essay and leadership as well.. i dont really understand what you (wharton411) is asking though.. hmm and i personally think its.. as competitive, or possibly even more competitive than the honors program because theres only 60 of us preferred-admits right now in the bschool.. and if im not mistaken, there are more than 60 u of m honors freshmen. hmm yeah idk haha

Stats aren't really that important for getting into ROSS PA. Your essay + business related activities will be the most important criteria most likely

You have to be able to write at least as well as yupkixtokki...

Haha, a daunting task. Things like this make me sad.

uh are you mocking me

33 ACT/4.0 gpa ...denied for PA

Really wish I would have made it in. I'm getting a terrible grade in Econ 101 so I probably don't have a chance now.

yupkixtokki, check this out: www.punctuation.com

Mean SAT/ACT for last year's pre-admit class were 1420/32, so I would not go so far as to say that stats don't matter. Of course, more qualified applicants are turned down than admitted into Ross, so it is fair to assume that there are other criteria, like ECs, essays and deonstrated Business interests. However, stats definitely matter.

That's so mean! None of us are writing a thesis paper; we're on a forum. As long as you can get the message, it shouldn't matter how bad the punctuation/grammar/spelling is.

Although I do admit that your post was pretty funny.

Ironically enough, only one of the three kids that were selected as Preferred Admits to the Ross Business School actually had "demonstrated business experience".

The two people who got in from my school had leadership, but they didn't have any business EC. Clearly they're not mandatory.

Arvandm: That shoud be: "None of us IS writing a thesis paper." Practice makes perfect. Do you only speak well during a job interview? Do you only smell well during a date? Do you only drive well when a police car is behind you?

TourGuide446L: You obviously put more effort into smelling/looking good when you are on a date. You don't put cologne on when you're walking around the house.

For God's sake, he said things like "you is," and he's in this prestigious program apparently. It's just messed up, obviously, and the point is, you can evidently be borderline retarded and still get in. I apologize if English isn't your first language or something like that. And everything aside, TourGuide's posts were hilarious. Even though we're on a forum, we should still try to type like we talk, and I hope he doesn't say "you is" in normal speech. QED, I guess.

Oh s*** I didn't realize the guy's a preferred admit. Yea that is pretty messed up.

ohh wow all this time i didn't even notice i said "you is" until you just mentioned it in your post and i looked back and read what i wrote.. well first things first, i am a girl (not a he), and i'm sorry for my grammatical mistake in my first response to the OP, i did not even realize i did what i did.. i was thinking about the username Wharton411 and while my mind was wandering, mistakenly put down the verb "is" instead of "are".. so i apologize, but i do know how to utilize the phrase "you are" in real life, in case you were wondering.. anyway i thought you guys were making fun of me because i was saying 'mm' and 'erm' so i was thinking of how big *******s you all were but now that i look upon it i guess it was pretty legit. yeahhh so my bad about that grammatical mistake.. i guess i just disproved that whole theory about being "borderline retarded" and getting into the program.. sorry to break it to ya :x

And my hopes were so high. And I in no way disapprove of phonetical equivalents being used on forums (unless there are actual words... I mean things like "hmm, um" etc...), but it's just pretty easy to do stuff correctly, and really doesn't take much effort at all. Whatever, at least you're not retarded. That's all that really matters. Now, let's get back on topic? Maybe?

EDIT: And actually... you did say "theres only 60 of us," which should be "there are only..." It's plural, right? But bah.
