<p>I'm applying to Brown ED but I also wanted to apply to Stanford RD just in case things don't work out with Brown (which I really hope won't happen!). Anyways, I know that Stanford has a "preferred" deadline of December 1st. However, I don't find out whether I'm accepted to Brown or not until December 10th. I know the actual deadline for Stanford is December 15th, so does it really matter if I turn in my app after the 1st? They'll still consider it just like everybody else's app, right?</p>
<p>Yeah, its not "priority," its just "hey we would like to have some apps to work on once we are done with the EA ones instead of waiting"</p>
<p>Just ignore their preferred deadline. I got my app in last year on Dec. 14 and I got in.</p>
