Preguntas!

hey everyone! i just had some questions about the essays…any help would be greatly appreciated!

for the who interested you question…i just put one sentence like an alumna, an undergrad…etc etc…is that what they want or do they want like a whole list of reasons besides people ie: “i love the campus & the curriculum etc”?

okay question two!

for the activities essay…i have about 6 things i would like to talk about…too much? i was also thinking about limiting it to just my sports…but im not sure what they want…do they want a list? an essay? should i just discuss the 6 things in detail? idk help please?!

thanks everyoneeeeeeeee :D

FOr the who interested you question I mentioned my visit to Brown and how the students who spoke for the info sessions and tours got me interested. I know that doesn't answer your question...but the app offers space for about a paragraph so maybe they expect you to expand on your reason whatever it may be

and for the activities essay, I was just doing an activities sheet like for common app. I want to talk about a few activites...and seeing those people with 500 activites makes me think that I don't have enough. I think six is good..but i can't really say...im in the same boat
:)

okay thanks so much!

For the "who interested you" essay: I've seen a simple phrase like "my guidance counselor suggested it" to a lengthy paragraph. Be honest but if you can write something that personalizes your application, do it.

For the activities essay: Too many activities suggests that you spread yourself too thin and aren't devoted to anything. I think six is fine, although I would stress two or three. Applicants have different approaches to this. Some, like my daughter, wrote a paragraph for each activity; she stressed not only what she did, but why she enjoyed doing it. Others do an annotated resume.
