Hey all,

Well first off, the application process for the c/o 2013 has officially begun! The preliminary app is online. Unfortunately, when I tried to access it I received an error message- something about contacting a support representative. Did this happen to anyone else?

I was wondering if anyone knew were to find the phone numbers for the regional directors across the country (specifically NJ for me). I am applying to the USNA from college, and was wondering how the process differed from someone applying from high school. Or would it be better to contact admissions at talk to someone there about this topic?

I wanted to start the whole process as early as possible so the academy knows I'm serious about applying (was rejected last time- no nomination). Hopefully things will fall into place this time.

Congrats to those who are accepted to the c/o 2012! Plebe summer is right around the corner, enjoy these last days in school and at home!

Thanks,
Koho

I would just call admissions and ask for the regional director for the NJ area, I'm sure they can help you.

as of 17 minutes ago, the preliminary application was available. they opened it at exactly midnight :)

to be clear....

if I applied at USNA summer session do I need to fill out the prelim app????

kmjg - no, the nass app is a prelim app.

quick question about ACTs: Does the USNA take your highest individual scores from the ACT? Hypothetically I get a 27 math, 30 English the first time but then get a 30 math, 25 English the next time I take the test.. will my scores be 30 math/English?

Thanks,
Koho

koho - yes, that's how USNA does SAT/ACT scores. they also convert ACT to SAT and vice versa to get your highest possible score. for example, my test scores were:
SAT M - 740
SAT V - 620
ACT M - 30
ACT V - 34
so they used my SAT math and ACT english.

wow christina, my scores were almost exactly the same as yours (750, 630, 28, 34) ... thats scary =P
