<p>Just how essential is that prelude program to the NSO experience? =D Registration ended today at 9:00 a.m., and the first time I looked at that website (about a month ago), all of the topics I was interested in had already been filled. Granted, it's a great way to meet people, and I'm sure some of the lectures are going to be fascinating (which is why I mourn), but I won't be completely screwed because of it, will I? There will be other souls who didn't sign up as well?</p>
<p>It really isn't a big deal at all. A lot of people didn't even know about it. I took one last year and it was interesting, but i would have been just as happy chilling with people on my floor. It really isn't a good way to meet people or professors either. Don't worry that you're missing out on something.</p>
<p>I agree, I did it last year, and it wasn't anything exciting.</p>
