Prelusion

HI..if my daughter does prelusion does she check into her actual dorm she will be staying in for the year 3 days early. Also can parents of prelusion students still attend the parent orientation on the 25 with the rest of the 2015 class parents.?

thanks

Yes, she’ll get her ID, room key, and some other stuff, and then you go and move her into her dorm room as best you can in a limited amount of time.

I believe so but I am not 100% sure. Perhaps call the office of admission and ask?

I would highly recommend a Prelusion program. It’s a great experience and it makes the first few days with everyone on campus a lot less awkward - you’ve got friends to hang out with already.

valeriew - Yes, you can attend the regular parent orientation even though your daughter will have checked in to her dorm early. I did this last year. I called to ask, and they said no problem.

PreLUsion opened today for reservations.
Only a limited amount of spaces.

My daughter signed up for prelusion today. I pictured her taking a fun filled tour of the city, but NO. True to her spirit she picked outdoor adventure. The worry begins

Just checked PreLUsion,
OAP, Outdoor Adventure Program is already SOLD-OUT!
Thanks to Copaman and others on CC for giving the heads up to register early for OAP.
Other PreLUsion programs appear to be still accepting reservations.

Man I wish I could go on OAP again this year.

Everyone on that trip will have a bunch of fun, even if the weather is subpar, as it was for me.

If incoming freshman are looking to make friends early on in the semester, they could look into joining the Global Citizenship Program. They’ll make lifelong friends from different disciplines and get to study and travel together (on a scholarship from Lehigh!). The application deadline is soon, though–June 1! lehigh.edu/~ingc
