Hi everybody. I'm looking to receive a master's degree in English that will serve both my professional and intellectual interests (I want to go into teaching high school or public relations).

The ideal school for me is...
-- In the Northeast
-- Strong across all fields in English and does not make students choose a field for an MA.
-- Does not require much in the way of foreign language competency (Yale is out)
-- Requires a thesis.
-- In/near a city or large town.

Prestige, at this point, is irrelevant. I want a program I will enjoy and I want to be involved with literature at an advanced level.

Some information about me:
-- University of Chicago, class of 2010, English major.
-- Aiming for a 3.5+ GPA in major, may not get it.
-- Expecting to write a BA

Is this enough information for you to recommend graduate schools I should be looking into.
