PreMed at UCLA vs UCSD vs UCR vs SDSU?

Hello everyone! I am currently a high senior trying to decide where to go to college. I am considering the following option, if it were you what would you choose. I want to study pre-med and I need to choose the best option that will assist me in getting into medical schools.

(1) UCSD - I would have to pay about 8,500 a year after financial aid. (Is it really socially dead?)

(2) UCLA - I would have to pay 9,000/yr. (ALSO, I am really worried about UCLA and UCSD grade inflation and competitive nature)

(3) UC Riverside - Would have to pay 6,000/yr. Got offered University Honors at UCR. Easier to stand out, but would an “easy” school impress Medical Schools??

(4) SDSU - Would have to pay about 8,000/yr. Merit scholar and Webers Honors student. Close to home. Could standout here, but how is their pre-med advising?

Thank you!

If you are interested in practicing medicine in inland southern California, note that UCR has an early assurance program to its medical school. Basically, you apply a year earlier than you would for normal medical school applications; if admitted, you get to skip the usual medical school application process (time consuming, expensive, stressful).

I would be 90% UCLA and 10% UCSD. Much better if you don’t go to med school.
