i got a full sc holarship at vcu vs uva. i want to do premed. which is better?

i'm interested in this answer, too. :)

Did you get into VCU's combined BS/MD program? If so, VCU would be worth considering. If not, DO NOT go to VCU. The extra cost of going to UVa would be well worth it. Not only is VCU well below UVa's quality academically, it is in a terrible part of Richmond.

haha really? anyone else have comments?

I took VCU BS/MD program over UVA after a good deal of back and forth Princeofnam... I did it mainly becuase going to UVA would mean working myself to death and risking not getting in to med school. Besides unless you are looking to get into a really good med school VCU would be just as good as UVA for premed considering that VCU program allows you so many oppertunities to get medical experience... but to each his own

VCU is spread out over several neighborhoods. Both my sisters went there and one is still in Richmond, living in Church Hill. The neighborhoods are not all that bad. Do you want to live in a small city like Richmond or an overgrown small town like Chville?

umm. not sure. whats the vcu combined bs/md program?

I know someone who chose it over UVa. They absolutely love it but I think it is kind of limiting. I don't think I could go to med school 100 yards from where I went to undergrad either.
