The decision must be made b/w Case Western, Loyola of Chicago, and Furman for the best premed program (and best success rates for getting admitted into med school). Of course we know MCAT and GPA are the most important factors, but which school is best for getting that GPA and professor recommendations?

I doubt that a grade inflation report exists on any of them. And the statistics the schools put out on med school admissions are usually sleazy and misleading, when they aren't out-and-out lies.

Choose the one where you'll feel most comfortable, and challenged, and do well, and the rest will take care of itself.

(are there cost differences? If so, this should figure heavily in your decisionmaking.)

mini hit the nail on the head, go to the school that you like best/gives you the best deal and the GPA, etc. will take care of themselves.

The Catholic Schools take care of their students in terms of med schools that they are affiliated with. Plus I would rather be in Chicago by far.

Another thing is that med students love Loyola. Med school is tough so it'd be nice to go to one where the atmosphere is positive. That said, you can still get into Loyola from Furman or CWRU, that is if four yrs down the road you still want to be a doctor. I worked 5 yrs in a quasi-honors program at a state school and of the 100 students coming in each yr, 50% were premed, after their 1st yr 50% of those were still premed and so forth, til just a half dozen or less ended up in med school. Go where your happiest, b/c chances are plans might change.

I'd go to Case. Medicine and other science programs are pretty much their focus. Plus I think the campus and surrounding neighborhood are nice, if that matters to you.
