I have strong interest in both medicine and economics/business. Would a double major in premed and economics be doable in terms of the workload? I know that the premed workload is apparently a lot. I have taken the hardest classes at my high school, but I know that they do not compare. In addition, I want to be able to have fun in college, maybe go a party or two on the weekends... Of course, grades will always come first and I don't want to spend my entire college experience plastered, but I do want to have fun too. Is it possible to pull off this double major and still be able to have fun like so many of us did in high school? Or would I be spending all of my time either in the library or in the frat houses, with no time for sleep or anything else? Thank you.

Well first off, I’m going to assume the “pre-med” major is something along the lines of biology; technically you can be pre-med and major in whatever you want as long as you take the required courses.

Yes, I believe a double major to be fairly reasonable for most students capable of being accepted to washu. Workload is a fair amount, but every student still has time to do what they like on the weekends - including party.

You’re right, sorry about that. And thank you for the answer.
