<p>A.) Why pay the extra tuition?
B.) Extracurriculars are a crucial piece of premedical applications, and summers are precious time for full-time lab work and clinical experience.
C.) Your application already reflects four years' worth of schoolwork. People know whether or not you're good at school. They don't need extra semesters to prove it to you.
D.) There are some rumors floating around the premed discussions here that summer courses are looked down upon by medical school adcoms. If this is true, it is 100% appropriate, since summer courses often "lure" students into paying the extra tuition with reputations for being softer. This is still a controversial hypothesis and there's no data available for it.</p>
