premed/psy major?

so, basically I want to major in Psy and minor in marketing but I also want to take premed courses to see if I have any chances of being a psychiatrist.

Is it possible to major in Psy, Minor in marketing/advertising and take premed courses at once? (I'm a senior in High school) and I'm a pretty average kid (gpa 3.8) and will it take longer than 4 years if i plan to take summer schools etc?

plus is it possible to get a good MCAT score if I study in my individual time and not take premed courses?

My plan after undergrad is to work part time in any marketing/advertising company while supporting myself through med school (if I go through with it).

So, any any ideas? tips? opinions

yes

[[[will it take longer than 4 years if i plan to take summer schools etc?]]]

no

I really never heard of anyone doing that. The prerequisites to medical school are required to attend medical school.
However, it is not mandatory that all medical school prerequisites be taken before taking the MCAT

Possible. Not probable though. Most review materials assume that you have had extensive exposure to the material, and spend most of the time getting you used to how you’ll be tested on it. For most people, simply buying an MCAT review book without exposure to the material first is a waste of time.

Is this a typo? Did you mean to ask…“and not take a MCAT prep course?”
