hey guys i am deciding between university of michigan and tufts. i am exactly 50/50, and the closer may first approaches, the more i want to kill someone.

anyway, i had a quesiton on premed stats for tufts. the national avg for placement into med school is 50 %, and i found umichigan's stat for that, its 60%. i was wondering if anyone knows tufts stat for placement into medical school anywhere in the us.

Tufts only listed it's acceptance percentage of students with OVER a 3.5, which is 90%. I'm guessing the reason that they didn't list medical school acceptance rate for all students is because that it was significantly lower.

However, they did list their acceptance rate of everyone who applied for law school, which was 80% - Just compare that number to U Michigan's since Med and Law school acceptance rates are usually proportional. Tufts should have a slight advantage. U Michigan is a state school, and therefore will accept some underqualified in-state students.

In their viewbook, they say the acceptance rate to med school was 84%. I'm not sure if that's everyone who applied or just people with the qualifying stats.

I've talked to the prehealth advisor and while she doesn't list any numbers, she just said that in general "our graduates do very well." Not exactly a clear answer, but I do think that the percentage is fairly high.
