Premed - what are the chances for 7 year BS-MD program

Junior in high school
ACT score = 35
SAT score = 1570 out of 1600
GPA = 4 ( as of november of junior year)

What SAT subject tests do you recommend to get into 7 year BS-MD program.
What colleges are good in NJ/NY/PA area for the 7 year program and what are my chances to get in?

Thanks in advance

@highschoolinnj

Your GPA and Test scores are very good and you have equal chance with other students.

But these two are two of so many other criteria. Hopefully you are already demonstrating your passion in those areas.

Take SAT II in Chem, Math and Bio.

NJMS with many feeder schools,
Stony Brook
UConn
PSU
UPitt
Drexel (research more with recent developments)
AMC with many feeder schools
George Wash
CWRU
URochester

There are 2 threads created each year for BS/MD and you can check them out to get a feel and to know the responses from various students / parents. There is no real need to create new thread to post a question.

Are you interested in any direct med or only 7 year (accelerated) programs? Only half or probably less are 7 year programs, something you may have to pay special attention to if that is what you want.

Specific to the states you mentioned, only the following programs are 7 year:

NJMS
Penn State
RPI/AMC

Interested in guaranteed acceptance BS/MD program . (irrespective of MCAT score)

How about Seton Hall University in New Jersey? If you are a good interviewee this may work for you.

They say " This joint-degree offering with the School of Medicine is exclusive to Seton Hall University. If you meet all of the outlined continuation requirements, you are guaranteed an interview with the School of Medicine during your fourth year of undergraduate study. Your performance during the interview will be a primary factor in determining your admission to the SOM. For this reason, the joint-degree program cannot guarantee you admission to the SOM. Having the guarantee of an interview, however, is a significant advantage as only a small percentage of applicants to the SOM will be granted an interview, which is a required part of the application process for all students."
