<p>IU does not have a big hospital nearby. I believe that the opportunities around campus would be limited. The best source would be your family connections. We have the same problem. My son just made some arrangement with his pediatrician since his birth. Your student can start this summer.</p>
<p>Once your son is a student, I know some students do shadow at Bloomington Hospital (now IU Health, I think), but a lot shadow over the summer in Indy or their hometowns when they have more free time. Lots of premeds, very few shadowing slots</p>

<p>On your visit go the HPPLC (Health Professions and Prelaw Center). They will help you immensely. Get on their email list and they will send you new opportunities a couple times a week.</p>
