Prep books for ACT

Hi all,

My daughter decided to take Oct ACT yesterday. for those who took ACT, can you recommend some prep books for ACT since only three weeks are left to prepare?

Thank you for your help.

The Real ACT (a.k.a. The Red Book) is the best, hands down.

Science 28-->36 from the Red Book.

thank you for your help.

thank you.

It's not princeton review? I don't think. The title is "The Real ACT" and the book is almost entirely red. You'll know it when you see it.

thank you for all your help.

Can you offer some advice for preparing ACT since she has only three weeks to preapre plus she is a senior student?

thank you again for your sharings and help.

It's published by Peterson's, if I'm not mistaken.

I would suggest setting aside three or four hours every week to take a practice test. There are three practice tests in the book, so she can take all three. This will allow her to figure out what strategies work best for her, especially on the Reading and Science sections, where, in my opinion, strategy is paramount. It is fairly important she take them under actual time restraints, if at all possible, so that she can understand the fatigue the test puts on her and how to overcome this fatigue.

After she takes a test, she can check her answers. It is most effective to reread every question, wrong or right, so she can understand why she got them wrong and also why she got them right. If she is confused by why she got her questions wrong, she can study the instructional part of the prep book.

If she runs out of tests, there is a fourth practice test available in .pdf format on the ACT website.

Great thanks!
