Sparknotes has a prep book?

Interesting… Do you mind providing a link to it?

a link to a place where you can purchase it?

And use silverturtle’s guide - it’s free!

Can anyone tell me how good/bad these SAT prep books are when it comes to studying for the SAT?

-Grubers
-Sparknotes

Yes, that would be most appreciated.

grubers - great for math

sandwichgirl - perhaps amazon or the nearest bookstore might help you.
otherwise go to amazon and type in “Sparknotes 10 Practice Tests for the New SAT”. its the one by harvard students (hehe…um…lol)

Practice Tests: College Board Blue Book, Collegeboard QAS, Princeton Review 2011 - 11 SAT Practice Tests
Math: Gruber’s Complete SAT Guide, Gruber’s Math Workbook
Critical Reading: Direct Hits (Vocabulary), Rocket Review, Grammatix
Writing: Grammatix, Silverturtle’s Guide

Blue Book is the best for Practice Tests.

The Princeton Review 11 practices tests book is pretty good. Definitely get the college board practice book. The Barron’s SAT is pretty good, too, although I found the writing (grammar) and math to be more difficult that of of college board’s book. Gruber’s is alright. But I don’t really like it that much, because I found the organization a little bit confusing. Also, it doesn’t have enough critical reading practices. The Barron’s Critical Reading workbook is good. It has plenty of practice on sentence completions and reading comprehension.
