<li><p>Read, read, read – read magazines, newspapers, fiction and non-fiction books. selected items that will challenge you and expand your vocabulary. There is absolutely no good substitute for reading – it will help you immensely with the verbal section, plus it also helps you with the writing section and the essay you have to write</p></li>
<li><p>take sample tests – I would even suggest taking the ssat this spring to get an idea on where your weaknesses are. If you are very low in math, a tutor who knows what the ssat tests for can be very helpful.</p></li>
