Hi actiongirl, I know you really want the answer, but the reason why you haven’t received one is because for these and a lot of other schools, we just don’t know. Even what was done in prior years is no guarantee it will be the same this year, especially given 3/10 is a Saturday. If you must, I suppose you could call these schools and simply ask. But all the schools are really busy right now and so most of us are just sitting back and letting it happen. Most likely, what might happen for one of us regarding a given school may be different for another, given how far you live from the school, how far out from a major city, int’l vs domestic, and the quirks of the various delivery systems. Good luck, we wish you happy news!

Many mail them out after midnight. So please don’t assume you will get a letter on the 10th. All of ours came on the 12th via US Postal service. Hang on, waiting for a letter or package is a nail biter.

^^very true. Many of my acceptances were received online (rejections/waitlist) but the one school I actually cared to know about came in the mail on that fateful Monday afternoon.

We experienced a huge difference between 2 years ago child #1 and this round for child #2. More and more schools are moving to on-line (green, paperless) notification. The couple that came by snailmail this year arrived on March 10 exactly.

Two years ago, some arrived before and some after March 10.

A little late, but bumping for applicants who really need something to read.

thank you for pointing thid thread out! I doubt any of us applying for 2013 ould’ve noticed it otherwise :)

^ I believe “any of us applying for 2013” could see this even if it was not bumped. It’s one of the two threads at the top of the page. Not to offend, but it’s pretty obvious that it’s there.

But thanks anyways, spaceneedleseive.

Anything else people want to add? There seems to be a lot of variety of answers. Does anyone know a specific method for a specific school?

One of the schools I got accepted to, called my house, emailed my mom, and then sent a letter all with basically the same info. The ironic part was that I applied late and got in at the normal time. I don’t know if this is common for all the accepted students at that school.

Wingdbvr1. I assume you were admitted to AOF. Good school known primarily for the outstanding sport programs and its English village look. Congrats!

Don’t really have too much input on this topic but just wanted to wish everyone good luck!
