im a great student athlete and Im wondering if going to a prep school like phillips exeter or choate would help me a ton in admissions to georgetown

statistically, 51% of ppl accepted into georgetown are from private schools, the highest percentage out there according to a recent New York Times article, other than that i can't really give any advice since i don't have any first hand experience with it

Stu64k, Prep schools are different than private schools. Prep schools are schools you go to for one year before college to improve your chances of admission. Many athletes go to them so they can qualify for the school academically. I don't know if it would help you that much camcertainlycan, are you a REALLY good student athlete? They're gonna want you to be a stud on the bball court or some other important sport.

well i wouldnt be recruited by georgetown for hockey (they dont hav a team). But if i wasnt recruited for some reason to somewhere else, and i still wanted to go to a good school, georgetown would probably be my first pick
