<p>Hey, first post here. I was wondering if prep school helps your chances for college? For example, if I go to a selective secondary school, would having a slightly lower GPA still qualify me for the most selective schools (Ivies)?</p>

<p>The Ivies tend to be biased towards public school kids (Harvard, for example, tries to keep a 60-40 public to private ratio). If you want into the Ivies from a prep school you really need to be the best of the best.</p>
