Prep School Chances

I am applying to repeat Junior Year at Andover, Exeter, Berkshire and Choate. I did my interviews and they all said I did extremely well. I got a 186 on my PSAT which is 90th percentile. I am in 4 clubs: Newspaper, Micro-Finance, Broadcasting and Street Law. I also play AAA Hockey in Chicago. I talked to all the coaches and they said I would be a good fit at the schools. I have a 4.16 GPA right now as a Junior and I also volunteer and tutor. Do you think I have a good chance with all 4 schools?

Junior year is really tough.

That is what I heard it is one of the hardest years to get in. But, I would also be going in for hockey and all schools are in need of forwards the following year with 6+ graduating players.

That helps a lot, did you fill out the prospective athlete forms?

You have chances at all of these, albeit low ones. These schools are extremely competitive, Berkshire less so.

No, I just talked to the coaches via email and phone. I am just hoping for the best :)

Huh. Andover has a prospective athlete form for sure, not sure about the others. I don’t know how that would affect you though, since you seem to be a great hockey player.

Thanks!!! worth a try nothing to really lose by filling it out.

Umm… I think the deadline is past, so not sure if you can fill one out now.

But hey, just do it.
