Hey, I think it would be interesting to see what college reminds you of each prep school. Ex: Deerfield; Dartmouth
Here's a short list of some schools:
Lawrenceville
Hotchkiss
Exeter
Andover
Groton
Peddie
SPS
Etc. ;)

Historically, Andover fed to Yale and Exeter fed to Harvard. I have a feeling Deerfield fed to Dartmouth.

L’ville and Penn?

I read somewhere that Hotchkiss also fed to Yale, but that quickly changed.

Lawrenceville feeds to Princeton most commonly.

I don’t think OP means “feeder schools”.

I think she means schools w similar personalities, i.e.

Deerfield is preppy-to-infinity = what college?
SPS has a patrician reputation = what college?
Exeter = MIT

L’ville - Definitely Princeton.

Gotcha. Ummm…

Concord = Hampshire College

Deerfield = UVA???

I suggest you include a cheeky reason:

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = Hampshire College (arsty fartsy)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity)
Exeter = MIT (STEM nerd nirvana)

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = Hampshire College (arsty fartsy)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity)
Exeter = MIT (STEM nerd nirvana)
Lawrenceville = U Penn (underrated Ivy bcs people think it’s Penn State)

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = Hampshire College (arsty fartsy)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity) Isn’t this the party school?
Exeter = MIT (STEM nerd nirvana)
Lawrenceville = Princeton (It’s not in New England but it’s still super high)

U Penn is not in New England, too.

I’m going to have to disagree with Stargirl on this… Concord isn’t really like Hampshire (and no one has gone there from CA for at least 5 years).

Concord’s more like a cross between NYU, MIT, and Smith. Or like Stanford minus the football team.

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = NYU+MIT+Smith (artsy-fartsy/STEMy/liberal-artsy/accepting)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity) Isn’t this the party school?
Exeter = MIT (STEM nerd nirvana)
Lawrenceville = Princeton (It’s not in New England but it’s still super high)

I think Concord is most like NYU… Lets try to keep it to one college, it makes it more interesting.

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = NYU (artsy-fartsy/liberal-artsy/accepting)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity) Isn’t this the party school?
Exeter = MIT (STEM nerd nirvana)
Lawrenceville = Princeton (It’s not in New England but it’s still super high)
Hill = Cornell (good school but often forgotten)

This is an un-serious thread, so may as well capture everyone’s diverse associations. If you add a school, add a reason.

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = NYU+MIT+Smith (artsy-fartsy/STEMy/liberal-artsy/accepting)
Deerfield = UVA (preppy-to-infinity) Isn’t this the party school?

Hotchkiss = Williams College (elite & in the middle of nowhere)
Lawrenceville = Princeton (It’s not in New England but it’s still super high)
Lawrenceville = U Penn (underrated Ivy bcs people think it’s Penn State)

Oh, Pennsylvania’s not in NE? Wow, I’m not geographically inept, guys, I swear.

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Concord = NYU+MIT+Smith (artsy-fartsy/STEMy/liberal-artsy/accepting)

Andover = Harvard (everyone’s heard of it)
Cate = Stanford (best of the West Coast private schools)
Concord = NYU+MIT+Smith (artsy-fartsy/STEMy/liberal-artsy/accepting)

I just cleaned it up a little bit (combined schools with two, bolded titles) and added Cate.
